This Privacy Policy explains how HudsonHost collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, use the AI Website Builder, create an account, buy hosting or domains, manage DNS, pay a bill, or contact the Help Center.
Information we collect
We may collect account and contact information such as your name, company, email address, phone number, mailing address, password hash, verification status, support PIN, and account preferences. We collect order and service information such as products, domains, DNS records, server assignments, billing terms, transaction identifiers, payment status, refunds, and support communications.
When you use the AI Website Builder, we process prompts, reference images, generated website files, revisions, and technical metadata. Freemium users do not need an account. We use a browser session to control access to temporary guest projects and downloads.
We may automatically receive IP address, browser and device information, request time, referring page, cookies, session identifiers, security events, and service logs. We use this information for operation, fraud prevention, abuse control, troubleshooting, and performance.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure services, verify accounts, build and store websites, register and manage domains, provide DNS, process orders and payments, prevent fraud, answer help tickets, send service communications, enforce our terms, maintain records, improve products, and comply with law.
AI processing
Builder prompts, uploaded reference images, and relevant existing website content may be sent to an AI service provider to generate or revise your website. Do not include sensitive personal information or information you do not have permission to use. Generated guest projects may be deleted after their stated expiration period.
PayPal and payment information
HudsonHost uses PayPal for online billing. When you choose PayPal, HudsonHost shares information needed to create, approve, capture, reconcile, refund, and protect the transaction. This may include your name, email, phone number, order details, amount, transaction identifiers, billing or shipping information, device information, and fraud-prevention signals.
PayPal acts as an independent controller for personal information it processes for its services. Its processing is governed by PayPal's own agreements and Privacy Statement. HudsonHost does not store your complete PayPal password or complete payment-card number.
Text messages and Twilio
HudsonHost currently verifies new accounts by email. We plan to offer a choice of text-message or email verification. If you choose text, we will collect your mobile number and use Twilio or another messaging provider to send verification codes, security alerts, billing notices, and service messages.
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose them only to messaging aggregators, telecommunications providers, and vendors that help deliver and secure HudsonHost messages, or when legally required. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel recurring text messages and HELP for help. Consent records may include the date, method, disclosure shown, number provided, IP address, and opt-out history.
When we disclose information
We may disclose information to vendors that provide infrastructure, AI generation, email, text messaging, payment processing, fraud prevention, domain registration, DNS, analytics, and support services. They receive only information reasonably needed for their role and are subject to contractual or legal duties. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, complete a business transaction, or act on your direction.
HudsonHost does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, document messaging consent, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Retention periods vary by record type. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may update account information through the Account Manager, choose email instead of text verification when that option launches, opt out of recurring texts by replying STOP, and request help by replying HELP. You may ask to access, correct, or delete eligible personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required for security, billing, legal, or operational reasons.
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit certain uses of personal information, and to receive equal service when exercising privacy rights. HudsonHost does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California privacy law.
Children
HudsonHost services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal information.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as HudsonHost services, vendors, and legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted here and communicated when appropriate.
