What should I do if my VPS is slow or unreachable?

First decide whether the whole server is unreachable or only one website or service is affected. Record the exact error and the time it began.

  1. Check the VPS status in Account Manager and use only the controls currently available for the service.
  2. Confirm the hostname or IP address and test from another network or device.
  3. If you can connect, check disk space, memory, CPU use, running services, recent updates, and system logs.
  4. Review recent firewall, DNS, web-server, application, or database changes.
  5. Avoid repeated restarts until you have recorded the error and current state.

If the problem continues, open a Help Center ticket with the affected hostname, exact error, start time, and recent changes. Do not include the root password, private keys, or other secrets.
